I'm watching Six Feet Under on HBO. It's a 2-hour special! I've been waiting for this since it got so much attention from viewers in the USA. It's a bit offbeat, but I like it. It's probably not a concept anyone thought would click, but it did. Now if only The Sopranos would be shown on local channels. Egad! I got into PEX after about clicking on the Refresh button a hundred times. Anyway, there was a thread about Dawson's Creek Season 6--I didn't even know they reached the sixth season already, and look at the cast picture. Michelle Williams is so fucking thin! How'd she get so thin?! Joshua Jackson looks old. Ha. I remember when he was scrawny little Charlie Conway in The Mighty Ducks. I watched the last two seasons sporadically, particularly because I got tired of the Dawson-Joey thing. Nakakainis and it reminded me of certain things that shouldn't be remembered. Argh. Now apparently they're together again (well what's new) and they break up again or something. There are two bonuses though: we get to see Jack Osbourne act as Audrey's childhood friend and see Oliver Hudson as well. Wahey. I think Eddie (Oliver) and Joey may have something going on.

Yikes! That test I took today gave me a big headache! I met up with Chel--who found her ID but now has a minor offense in her record and we went up to Miguel. We spent a few minutes going over the names of the Deans and Vice Deans of each college. The test was hard, I knew about half of it. Yikes. We have an interview and group simulation lined up--I don't think I do well with interviews but let's see if I get accepted. After the test Chel waited with me for my ride, and we stayed by the benches in front of the Yuchengco Building. Perfect moment. Not too many people and we had the area to ourselves. *sighs*

I nursed that stupid headache for a while, because when we arrived in Glorietta there was a BPI Madness thing going on. My parents bought two cabinets, and then my Dad and I went around shopping for computer stuff. I was looking around for a new PC and a new laptop. Geez, I want a new PC for my editing crap and a new laptop so I can lug it around school especially when we need Powerpoint presentations. I think I fell in love with a Compaq Presario (Presario 700 I think) but it's only a Pentium III. The Presario with Pentium 4 was about Php144,000. *gulps* I still want a friggin' laptop! I want a new PC. Haay. If I get both for my birthday/Christmas I will be one happy girl. (OK, pwede na rin iPod) I also saw a nice HP PC, but I'm not sure if it can accommodate editing programs. We ended up getting a new printer though, something I really needed at home. The portable Canon is broken and the one I used before is fucked up as well so I'm so happy to get a new one. There's a lot of available printers out there, and besides a nice laser printer that we saw, my mouth watered with the new HP printer where you can put your digicam memory card/flash memory card and print it directly. That's probably next for us, yay. Bah. Scratch the printer, I want my laptop and PC. I'm putting those on my wishlist--my youngest brother Meego made his already so I'm making myself one.

Had dinner in Mangan because my parents forgot I wanted to eat in Greenbelt, at either Kitchen or Cafe Mediterranean. Oh well. Tomorrow siguro. Had yummy dessert in Mangan, forgot what it's called so I'll ask my Mom tomorrow. I haven't gotten my Caramel Frap--haha, ang tagal na. Before leaving we renewed our discount card at the magazine store, and I dropped by Powerbooks and got The Unbearable Lightness of Being by Milan Kundera and Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel. I have 40 pesos left in my wallet. :\ I just noticed that they had a lot of Confessions of a Shopaholic and Shopaholic in Manhattan. I saw two girls buy the first book while I was there. *shrugs* I feel weird because it's Saturday and probably for most people my age it's the day for going out with friends. Yet I was with my parents, having dinner at Mangan and then going home to plop myself in front of the computer and watch TV. I wonder if there's anything wrong with me, but I actually like getting home, washing my face and then taking a shower, and just going online while watching TV. Total square, huh? I'm so lazy to go out kasi. *shrugs* I'll expound on this topic in my LJ, I guess.

Plugging Steph, Nadia, Anna and Trinnah (with a yummy Tom Welling layout). A lot of bloggers are either away or are on hiatus. Bummer. By the way, congratulations to the Lady Archers for winning their 4th straight Championship title. *yayness* Proof that girls really do kick butt. I'm so proud. The highest scorer of the game is from Zobel too, as well as the Manalo twins. Galing!

12:35 am
Oh it's raining! I was going to go to bed, when I heard what sounded like raindrops on my window. Window? Go figure. Happy, happy day. I'l make this feeling last until midterms come up. Yikes. Help me pass ALGE101? Ü I was reading this book I borrowed from the library today, The Mad Tea Party by Clinton Palanca. It's food literature, and the first few words were: "Let us begin with a confession: I love to eat." Woohoo, amen to that. I want a caramel frap and some milk chocolate Hershey's Kisses with almonds and new clothes and a book. Ü Seriously, I am running out of clothes to wear and it doesn't help that I think I gained weight. Yikes. I must go jogging again soon or take up something like kickboxing. OOh, that's probably a good idea.

I'm about to fall on the keyboard so I'm going to turn in for the night. I have a new issue of Mabuhay to read--I like Jake Versoza's photo at the end of the kids at sunset holding a starfish in each of their hands. Goodnight.

Proof that crappy days can change: we had run-ins with BJ Manalo. *laughs* Oh well. I was feeling bad kasi after Physics, when our reporting had a bad start. Malas talaga, nakakainis. Fortunately, my spirits were lifted after Siya aka Our Stalker's class showed up in our classroom after our class ended and we saw BJ. *laughs* OK, add the mango crepe I had for dessert. I have to work on the outline for ENGLART. Basically it's a class wherein you write an argumenative research paper the whole term. Kirsten and I got extra books from the library this afternoon and I must have them photocopied this weekend.

I have to be up early tomorrow, I have to attend an activity for the folio from 8-12, and then I've to take a test for the Lasallian Ambassadors' at 1pm. A few days ago I received an e-mail from the group about upcoming activities for the folio, and one of them was the Halloween costume party. I asked if it was going to be on the actual day, because I may have plans with my friends already. I did get a reply about it, and a note about how full of excuses I've been lately. Ngek! They're excuses alright, and I hate making excuses but I can't help it because I have to explain why I've been like this. Yeah, yeah. I'm attending tomorrow's activity even if I need to have a few more hours of sleep, and I have a test at 1pm. Geez.

The latter part of this day was fun. Ü Last rant: the girl sitting behind me in the bus today was so madaldal it was getting annoying. Her stories were funny at first, but then she kept complaining she was getting a headache because the stupid bus kept stopping. DUH!? It's a public bus, of course people will get off at random stops so it keeps stopping. If public buses makes her dizzy why doesn't she get a driver so she wouldn't have to ride the bus?

Friday Five! haven't done this in ages.
1. If you could only choose 1 cd to ever listen to again, what would it be? I'm not into music as much as I am with books so I'll pick a CD at random from my collection. Yourself or Someone Like You, Matchbox Twenty.
2. If you could only choose 2 movies to watch ever again, what would they be? Yikes! I have a weird all-time favorite, so I'd choose that and Ever After.
3. If you could only choose 3 books to read ever again, what would they be? The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky definitely, and I can't pick two more so, just a few: Sloppy Firsts by Megan McCafferty and Harriet the Spy or Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. I can't narrow this down.
4. If you could only choose 4 things to eat or drink ever again, what would they be? chocolate (preferably milk chocolate), steak, water and iced tea.
5. If you could only choose 5 people to ever be/talk/associate/whatever with ever again, who would they be? err, I can't choose! Josh Hartnett? Ngek.

and Friday Five just because it's about shoes:
1. What size shoe do you wear? 7 1/2-8 for normal shoes, 8 1/2 for sneakers.
2. How many pairs of shoes do you own? *laughs* don't make me count.
3. What type of shoe do you prefer (boots, sneakers, pumps, etc.)? definitely SNEAKERS! Ü I only like wearing sandals if they're thong sandals.
4. Describe your favorite pair of shoes. Why are they your favorite? Geez. Probably my....white Pumas. I got the style I didn't want but ended up loving it anyway. I love it to bits, as much as I love my Visi Havocs and my GV Specials.
5. What's the most you've spent on one pair of shoes? Over a $100 but not going over $200. Like I said, I prefer sneakers over girly shoes. You won't make me buy insanely priced Jimmy Choos.

By the way, no word on who the person claiming to be me and stalking Mika Vainio is. Drat. PEX is back up, I think. I hope so! I'm getting tired of GA.net.

Ooh it's raining! Funny because we were talking about rain in RELSONE--a class I don't really enjoy because our prof is so darn confusing. Maybe it's better than memorizing Greek characters like the people in the other class do, but we never get anywhere with our discussions. Everyone ends up in a certain level of confusion. Argh. Well at least it's raining. I doubt it'll continue for the rest of the night because it's been like this for a few days. It rains and then the following morning it's hot as hell. Tired. I overslept this morning so I was late for my first class. I must get up earlier because I don't want to get low grades due to excess absences. I think we have about two weeks until midterms, can you believe it? While other universities will be having their sem break, we'll be having midterms. I just remembered I said I'm always grumbling, so I'll try to stop grumbling in my posts.

Can't think of anything to be happy about!

I caught the last 1 minute of Game 3. They showed a the repeat today. I wanted to watch the whole game so I could see Enrico elbowing Adonis, but I met up with my Mom at the mall. It was pretty sad for me at the end, remembering the atmosphere in Araneta. They could do it, and I wish whatever was wrong got fixed so the Archers could've gotten their 5th title. Oh well. One more thing about this whole UAAP hoopla. My former host Renee sent me a message last night asking if I was texting Mika Vainio (of the DLSU Men's Basketball team) and I told her no. Apparently, someone has been "stalking" Mika, using my name. The fake Yam told Mika I got his number from Renee. WTF? It's really funny, because who the hell would do that? With so many people in DLSU who knew someone out there knew I knew Renee? This limits my suspects, but I'd sure love to know who the fake Yam is!

On the subject of boys? Haven't found one that has given me butterflies in my stomach just yet. *laughs* I think I better make my way to Town and hunt down Crush Boy. Hahaha.

Yikes, lightning just flashed from the window. Better post this in case of a power failure. Useless blog, better posts in my LJ, but I'm prone to posting friends-only entries so if you want to read, better have your own LJ then tell me your username. ;)

10:24 pm
Smallville finally premiered tonight! It's quite late for a Tuesday though--okay 9pm--but it feels late because I have a full schedule on Tuesdays. 8am-5pm in school is too much. Why waste your time boy hunting when you have guys like Tom Welling parading in front of you?! Heard he got married though. Poo! However, he's enough to make me smile on long Tuesdays. Ü (Sidenote: Lifehouse's Everything was played at the end. One thing I like about shows like Smallville, Felicity and Dawson's Creek is the last scene or the last part before the episode ends. It's usually the most moving and most memorable scenes. Better miss the first half but not the ending. The endings usually do it for me (but I'd still rather watch the whole show of course).

Anyway, I'm glad I made it home before it started raining because Vida said it was flooded in front of school. *laughs* It's always flooded by South Gate and Eng gate, I think the only gate that isn't as flooded is North. I was already in front of the village when thunder and lightning started to appear. I actually fell asleep while in the bus on my way home, something which I normally do not do, and woke up just a few seconds before it reached my stop. I was somewhat groggy when I went down.

Oh, Noelle I'm sorry if it came out that way. I have this weird habit of mentioning where I get ideas from but I don't explain them well...what I meant was I got the idea from your blog about the team praising God and all. I also read it in PEX posts, so it kinda struck me because the Lasallians weren't even reacting about the loss (I think the Archers had a good season, 13-1 in the eliminations isn't easy to achieve.) So while I still have that rivalry streak in me, the season is over and no matter how much we gripe about it we can't do anything naman right?

School was weird today for several reasons.
1)It's starting to feel routine.
2) Certain people are really getting on my nerves.
3) I really despise our prof in RELSONE. Grrr!
I was so irritated today (plus add all other external factors like the heat) I just walked out of class. Class was over anyway, but he kept us in for about ten more minutes. Ugh! It all boils down to my lack of sleep. *grumbles* I just wanted to check my mail to see if our prof sent his important e-mail (and blog, of course) but then my phone has been vibrating every few minutes. I already told my Physics groupmates I wouldn't be able to photocopy their handouts for the class cos I didn't have time to go to Makati today, I don't have the weighing scale Lhiz needs, I just found out I have to stay until U-Break tomorrow because of a meeting for the folio, and then the latest is something for another org about a picture taking schedule for tomorrow for the yearbook. Naman! I wanted to go home right after my second class (11:30 am) and U-Break isn't until around 12:40, cos I have to go to the bank and transfer the money in my account there to my other bank account. Plus sleep. *sighs* Oh and I don't want to spend money tomorrow apart from my bus fare, so it'd be nice to leave early and just have lunch at home. I complain too much! Screw cellphones. I'd leave mine at home if only my parents don't text me from time to time to tell me something important.

In PE today, we learned the rest of the figures for the waltz. I wore my rubber shoes instead of my Pumas, and I felt like a duck or something because my feet seemed to be too big. I don't think I'm the graceful dancer type, even if I took ballet for about 5 years. My partner Anne and I weren't exempted from the Preliminary Test today, but we can still get a 4.0 during the actual practical test next week. This means I have to practice dancing the waltz with my Dad! Also got a good grade on our ANTHROP report--yayness--and received praises from our prof. (Excellent, Most comprehensive.) It was worth all the trouble. Ü Oh, had my mango shake today, but it didn't have enough ice. Ngek.

And to think a certain person thought I didn't have a lot of things to do because his girlfriend does. Geez. That and how Dean's Lister have easier access (to what?!) so he made me run his errands? You are so wrong. Ü

My little brother's sick, so this means it'll be harder for me to sleep since he'll probably be crying and coughing all night. Must sleep NOW.

11:02 pm
I didn't realize it was late. I left for school late this morning--imagine, leaving at 10 for a 10:30 class, when it takes me 30-40 minutes if I commute. So while in the bus I just decided to go to the Cybernook and skip class altogether, but a few minutes before I went down the bus, Kirsten sent me a message saying our prof didn't show. This is the second time that this has happened. Me wanting to skip class because of my tardiness and he ends up not showing. Couldn't be happier, but I enjoy POLIGOV. *shrugs* I just met up with the girls in La Casita and had lunch. Which reminds me, I owe Chel Php150. I'm so sick of hearing about how some players were paid to lose Game 3, particularly Mike Cortez. If it's true, he probably has his reasons, but can't we just stop talking about it? It's everywhere! I was reading a post in PEX and one guy's comment said it was just unusual for Mike to have such a bad game when La Salle is known for (pardon the term but I can't seem to find the correct words) making habol when they're behind. Remember Game 3 last year? Most of the players got sick but then they managed. I'm still proud of the Archers for having a good season, only losing to Ateneo. So probably let the Ateneans bask in their long-awaited glory, but let's just stop talking about the whole paying thing. I'm sure the Archers feel bad enough that they lost, so let's not make a big deal of the defeat by talking about things we really can't verify.

We were dismissed early from Physics Lab today, 3:30 instead of 5:30. I was so sleepy during the class so it's a good thing our "experiment" is sort of to be done at home. My Dad was supposed to pick me up at 4:30 so I called him, but he wasn't able to drop by until 4. We went back to Makati and I finished our ANTHROP project. It started raining then, and after a while, everything outside the office window was bathed in a hazy orange glow. It was like being stuck in an old movie--in sepia tones. After I did the project, we went down to Glorietta because my Dad wanted to check the prices of the Compaq iPaq. I saw the new Creative MuVo--almost the same price as my Nomad, but I'm still hoping to get an iPod. Dream on! Went around for a bit before heading home. Bonding time with Dad.

Moving on. Er, I decided not to drop ALGE101 cos no one else will. I don't want to be the sole dropper of the course. I'm just going to work extra hard and hope for the best.Ooh! No 8am class tomorrow because our ALGE101 prof won't be here the whole week. Yayness.

I have a big secret that only a few people know about. Ü Keep quiet ha? I want a mango shake!

October 6, 2002
10:50 pm
I feel woozy! I should move the October entries to a separate page, but I'm too lazy to do it right now. Ü We went to SM Megamall today and it was hell. We avoid going there because it's always so crowded, but my Dad wanted to check out a Golf bazaar of some sort happening at the Megatrade Hall. Grrr. I spent ages getting lost. I left with a headache, and then we stopped by Festival so my Dad could get art supplies he needed, but ended up feeling queasy because it was almost as crowded as Megamall. Whatever happened to lazy Sunday afternoons? The rain shouldn't have stopped so people would've stayed home. I got a copy of Legally Blonde too, cos my Dad and I were looking at the videos in Shopwise. They were still having a sale, Php150-199 for original VCDs. My Dad got a handful of videos, and I chose Legally Blonde cos I've never seen it. I was also supposed to get Almost Famous, The Cutting Edge, She's All That and Josie and the Pussycats (all just teenybopperish movies except for the first two, but I want to buy Lovely Bones this week, so I just got one VCD. I'm sounding like a brat again. School tomorrow. (Oh yeah, we lost.) Scratch that. We lost. It should be, the Men's Basketball team lost. I wasn't the one playing, how could I lose? Ooh, the UAAP talk is about to reach a higher level.Ü Sweet. That's the way it is. Things happen, you talk about it, and things that happen after a long time are bound to be overanalyzed. Huh? Labo. One thing that bothered me about this whole UAAP hoopla, (I got this from Noelle's blog) was how the Ateneo players were publicly praising God, Patty Laurel and Joel Banal saying "God is great,"blah blah blah. I have nothing against it, but it just seems like the Lasallians don't think God is great or something. Ugh. This is getting to be a weird post.

I need to sleep.Ooh, look at what Trinnah gave me (thanks!):

12:40 am
A TRUE ARCHER KNOWS WHEN TO PUT DOWN HIS ARROW WHEN HE SEES A YOUNG EAGLE DETERMINED TO FLY. He is humble in victory and gracious in defeat. Animo La Salle! I'm proud to be a LaSallian. (If you don't like it, then who cares?!)
